In this session, players will first understand the different learning phases. They will witness a process of modifying, amalgamating, adding and subtracting elements to existing game frames to create new experiences. Later the participants will have an opportunity to work in groups to create their own game for a given lesson. The session will involve discovering the various avenues of debriefing that trainers can adopt. Players will also be provided tips as well as examples to avoid the pitfalls of using the wrong experience and ‘force fit’ of lessons in a corporate training. Part of the session will also explore choices of debriefing methods; from directive debrief to self-directed techniques.

Learning Goals:

- Understand the different phase of learning and the types of game experience needed for each phase.
- Using simple frames and mechanics and still create an engaging experience.
- Creative ways to make games look and feel original.
- Guidelines for games in the adult learning industry.
- Crafting meaningful lessons through effective debrief.
